Mobilize is seeking experienced, Trade Qualified Painter Blasters for a long-term FIFO mining project in Western Australia.

With 9–12 months of work, a 2/1 roster and $82.94ph, this is a great opportunity for experienced Painter Blasters looking for consistent FIFO work and strong earning potential.


The Opportunity

• $82.94 per hour – flat casual rate
• 2/1 FIFO roster
• Day shift only at this stage
• 11.5 paid hours per shift
• 9–12 months' duration
• Start dates available within the next 2–3 weeks
• 4 positions available
• Long-term project with a growing onsite workforce

The Role

You will be involved in a range of industrial painting, blasting and protective coating activities, including:

• Surface preparation using hand and power tools
• Mechanical preparation and abrasive blasting
• Applying protective coatings using brush, roller, conventional spray and airless spray techniques
• Mixing paints and coatings to manufacturer specifications
• Measuring and monitoring Wet Film Thickness (WFT) and Dry Film Thickness (DFT)
• Coating repairs and maintenance painting
• Corrosion control activities
• Identifying and rectifying coating defects including runs, holidays, pinholes, blistering and poor adhesion

What You'll Need To be considered, you will require:

• Relevant Trade Certificate – mandatory
• Previous Painter Blaster experience within mining, fixed plant or heavy industrial environments
• National Police Clearance within 6 months
• Working at Heights within 2 years
• Confined Space – advantageous
• EWP – advantageous but not essential
• Ability to pass all required pre-employment and site mobilisation requirements
